Where urban meets nature

Nestled at the beginning of the Austrian Alps, where Peter Rosegger created some of his most famous poems. Die Lams is more than a recreational home, it's an experience.

Countless hiking trails, mountain-biking tracks, tennis courts, a football field, skate park... Rettenegg has it.

Labyrinth man

An expedition into the human body reveals how it functions, cares for and protects itself, how it develops and reproduces.

Heaven on earth

The planetary path stretches along the red marked hiking trail in a length of about 6.5 km between Rettenegg (862 m ) and Stuhleck (1782 m). With a leisurely hike you overcome the 920 meters in altitude in about 3 – 4 hours.

Hiking

Rettenegg offers countless opportunities for leisurely walks and hikes up to the alpine regions (Stuhleck, Pretul, Hochwechsel), along clear streams and on well-maintained, marked hiking trails away from main roads.

Natural bathing pond

The natural bathing pond Rettenegg invites you on hot days to a cool refreshment in the crystal clear alpine water. But also just with your feet in the water, this is the right place to relax, rest and simply let your thoughts run free.

Mountain Biking

The “Alpine Tour Styria”, which leads directly through the local area of Rettenegg, deserves special mention. It is the longest continuously signposted mountain bike route in Europe.

Skatepark

Check out our local skatepark! A proud addition to our sport possibilities, the skatepark contains more than a few elements.

Skiing

There is a ski lift, a 4 km long marked touring ski run from Stuhleck, cross-country ski trails, ice skating rinks and stick sports facilities. Nearby are also the well-known ski centers Stuhleck, Semmering and Hauereck as well as the Wechsel-Semmering Panoramaloipe and the Jogllandloipe.

Tennis courts

Fan of the “white sport”? Rettenegg has you covered. Get your partner and come to the open tennis courts.

Football field

Rettenegg has a proper open football field too, where teams can measure their skills!
